I have used American Nanny Company as a Nanny. Marsha is amazing and makes you feel like she is working just for you. She does her best to match you to a family that fits the needs you are looking for. She also understands that in this economy nannies will most likely need to use other agencies/sites, etc to find a job and doesnt make you feel bad about it. She knows that we are working professionals and treats us that way.
My experience with American Nanny Company is with nanny support rather than placement. Marsha Epstein, who runs this agency, has always been the first person to jump up and volunteer whenever there is an opportunity to speak at a nanny educational event, or to offer to sponsor something at the event. She was very generous and helpful when myself and a few nannies were working to put on Nannypalooza 2010, and immediately responded with a will when we asked for help with this year’s National Nanny Training Day.
She was also, for many years, co-sponsor with another agency of a summer Nanny Appreciation Day event, open to any and all nannies.
Marsha and her staff did a fantastic job at matching me up with my current position where I’ve been for 2 1/2 years! While I was having issues at my previous job they listened to my concerns for future positions and took those into consideration when matching me with new jobs. American Nanny Company is fantastic to work with, they listen to their nannies and provide support far beyond the initial matching with a family. They are active within the nanny community and will do everything in their power to support all nannies. I highly recommend working with them!
American Nanny company has placed me before, so when I learned that my job of almost 10 years was coming to an end, I knew who I had to call. They are very competent and conduct a thorough review of the family in order to provide a realistic picture of the job to the potential nanny. Marsha and her staff are always available to answer questions both during the placement process and afterward.
