Connection-Centered Discipline
Nanny Certification

the path to better behavior from kids
and a more collaborative relationship with parents

I’m so excited to be once again offering the Connection-Centered Discipline Nanny Certification. This training was created from the ground up especially for nannies. As a 22 year nanny veteran, I know the unique challenges nannies face when dealing with discipline issues. As a Positive Discipline Parent Educator, communications trainer and mediator, I can help you successfully meet those challenges, effectively incorporate the Positive Discipline approach into your daily work and enlist the support of your employers.

The Connection-Centered Discipline program is built on the concepts of Positive Discipline, an internationally recognized approach that hpositive disciplineas hundreds of thousands of fans. It’s used in homes, churches, and schools around the world with kids from toddlers to teens. And there are over 30 published Positive Discipline books dedicated to every age group, family situation and unique challenge including children with special needs, Why? Because it works for reasons that we can feel good about. It focuses on connection, cooperation, respect, kindness, and encouragement. But it does so without being permissive or indulgent. It’s the perfect balance between Kumbaya and “It’s my way or the highway!” parenting.

CCDNC is a great  training series for anyone looking to make their lives easier… so everyone
right?!  I am currently half way through the series and after only 4  classes I already see a difference in my kids’ behavior – and mine as  well!  I had read a Positive Discipline book several months before taking  this course, however, I learned so much more having everything broken down and  designed specifically for nannies.  For me the most helpful part of this
training was being able to implement each step week by week – all the while  sharing my experiences and having the support of the other nannies in the  class.  I’ve been recommending this course to every nanny I know!  ~Mallory Lynch

Lora is uniquely qualified from her 20+ years of experience as a nanny, her vast knowledge of positive discipline and her finely honed communication skills, to speak to nannies with an authority that few other people can.  I find this topic infinitely fascinating and I am grateful for Lora’s ability to share her ideas. I would highly recommend this course to any career nanny at any stages of her career. I think it is a course that parents and nannies should take together as they are forming their successful family/nanny team.  Everyone involved would benefit.  ~Judi Merlin, owner of A Friend of the Family nanny agency in Atlanta, GA

NEW!  Home Study Option
You’ve told me it’s hard to make an evening class and I listened! As a nanny of 22 years, I get it. Long hours make it difficult to commit to a class that starts at 6:00 or 7:00 PM. So I’ve created a home study option for this training.

To participate, you’ll still need to sign up before the class begins. However with the home study option, you aren’t required to attend the live sessions. (You’re always welcome to join in if you have the time.) Instead each week you’ll watch the recorded session at a time that’s convenient for you and then complete a 20 to 30 minute homework assignment. The homework piece gives me the opportunity to gage your understanding of the material, answer any questions you have, and track your progress. This is important because it is a certification class and as the trainer, it’s my responsibility to make sure that you’re meeting the learning goals of the program. I want you to get the most out of the training even if you’re not participating in the live sessions!

And of course you’ll also be part of the private facebook group and have access to the same support and resources as the “live’ participants.

register.nowYou have two payment options: a one time payment of $295 or two payments of $150 each.  The first payment is due at sign up and the second payment is due a month from sign up.  To use the 2 payment option, choose “subscribe’ below.  NOTE: to use the 2 payment option, you must use your Pay Pal account.
