how to review a company

Our rules help keep the reviews relevant and useful, not just anonymous rantings or falsely inflated self-promotions because really, who wants that?

Only review a company you’ve had first hand experience with. Don’t review your own company, your best friend’s company, the competition…you get the idea. The IP address of every person reviewing is recorded and if they try to stack the reviews in either direction, their entries will be deleted and they’ll be blocked from entering the site. I know you wouldn’t do that but there are some…
Be sure your review is accurate and truthful. Stick to the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Only reviews that are relevant and useful will be posted. If you’re sharing negative feedback, give readers specific details about what you didn’t like. Rants WILL NOT be posted, even if they’re true.

Useful: “My placement coordinator didn’t have any experience in nannying or even childcare so she had on idea what to ask during the interview.”

VS

Not Useful: “The staff was stupid.”

Don’t respond to other contributors in your review. Focus on your experience. Remember, everyone gets their turn to talk. Company owners have the option of responding.
Agency and job site reviews include categories just for parents and just for nannies. Parents rate family screening and candidate quality. Nannies rate nanny screening and family quality.
Reviews includes categories that cover the entire placement process. If you didn’t get to the stage reflected in a particular category, leave it blank.
Play nice. Be honest, be fair, no name calling, no obscenities, no broad sweeping generalizations. Let’s model the attitudes and behaviors we teach our kids and charges.
